Facility Driver

About the role

The primary responsibility is to ensure the safe and timely transport for patients. In addition to basic transportation functions, the incumbent is required to communicate in a professional manner with residents, medical/nursing staff, and family members.

Job Duties

• Responsible for the safe and timely transportation of the ambulette (wheelchair van), which includes ensuring clients are properly secured with appropriate restraints, seat belts, and that wheelchair is locked appropriately.
• Responsible for client's comfort – to ensure client is comfortable during transport (van temperature is appropriate, blankets are available, etc.).

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read, write and understand written instructions
• Certified in Basic First Aid
• Current CPR certification
• Current Ohio Driver's license
• STNA license highly preferred
• Comply with all safety related guidelines/protocols as it relates to patient transportation
