Facility Director
About the role
The Budd Group, a leading Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) pioneer, is seeking an energetic, proactive, and highly communicative Facility Director to oversee one of Virginia’s premier historic boarding schools.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for school leadership, ensuring the campus looks immaculate and operates seamlessly.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of approximately 20 dedicated professionals across janitorial, landscaping, and maintenance operations with two supervisors.
- Oversee quality inspections and drive high employee retention through active, supportive leadership.
- Build deep relationships with board members, school administrators, and staff.
- Oversee hands-on maintenance operations, troubleshooting older building systems (including HVAC and boilers) alongside your supervisors.
- Step in to support your team when needed, managing with a balance of confidence and humility.
Requirements/Qualifications
- 3+ years of management/leadership experience.
- Strong background in general facility maintenance (HVAC, boilers, plumbing, or electrical).
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
- Janitorial background is a plus.

100% On-Site | Lynchburg, VA.
Schedule
Full-Time, Monday–Friday 10:00 am -8:00 pm (Varies based on facility needs and project deadlines, day shifts).
Pay
Competitive + mileage reimbursement.
