Facility Custodial Specialist I

This position, with supervision, ensures clean and safe working conditions in hangars, shops, and company grounds following Duncan Aviation approved procedures. The role involves handling non-hazardous materials and assisting with non-hazardous spills.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes hangars, shops, lunchrooms, and restrooms, including scrubbing floors, emptying trash and recycling bins, and making coffee using approved equipment and cleaning chemicals.
• Safely handles and removes non-hazardous materials and assists with cleaning up non-hazardous spills according to approved procedures.
• Maintains facility-related equipment (scrubbers, spreaders, shop-vac, snow blowers, etc.) with moderate supervision.
• Responds to facilities requests and assists with emergency facility situations after normal business hours as needed.
• Maintains company grounds for cleanliness and safety, including litter pickup, snow removal, operating snow removal equipment, and applying de-icer.
• Orders and stocks facility-related supplies, organizes and maintains supplies in lunchrooms, restrooms, and janitorial closets.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Respirator Fit qualified; Forklift and Scissor Lift Certification.
• Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
• Regularly scheduled attendance required.
• Routinely lifts up to 50 lbs.; occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to read small print, hear mechanical deficiencies, and perform repetitive motion tasks.
• Works with moving parts, vibration, and at heights above four feet.
• Tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.
• Identifies colors and tolerates products, materials, and fumes associated with maintenance tasks.
• Works in extreme temperatures and noisy environments.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Custodial experience preferred.
