Facility Coordinator/Facility Safety Head/Facility Environmental Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the principal contact for all facility related matters, safety and environmental concerns including chemical tracking.
  • Maintain library of, and draft new as appropriate, alarm response procedures for facility equipment.
  • Provide an initial assessment of issues in the facility using working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Coordinate with responsible parties for repair or adjustment of discrepancies and equipment failures.
  • Maintain the electrical Lockout/Tag out procedures, log, and tags for the facility as well as other facility documentation known as a Facility Resume.
  • Serve as the principal contact for all facility safety related matters and ensuring the safety of any facility operations.
  • Support Government Environmental Management Office multimedia environmental audits as well as internal audits performed by Amentum.
  • Interface frequently with building occupants and customer organizational management.
  • Provide customer organization with weekly reports and outstanding facility concerns that may impact their Research.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Two (2) years of college with courses in engineering or associated disciplines such as facilities or maintenance preferred, and six (6) years of related experience.
  • Additional relevant education may be substituted for a portion of the experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of programs gained through long and varied work experience in field of specialty.
  • Current U.S. Driver’s License (Real ID required).
  • Knowledge of MAXIMO or other Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), research ability using the Internet, manufacturer and other sources are desired.
  • Experience with MS Excel spreadsheets or equivalent.
  • Experience with MS Project preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience working with or managing electrical and mechanical systems and HVAC knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to develop and manipulate MS Excel spreadsheets or equivalent.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and written with effective use of visual aids.
  • Ability to use computing technology for problem analysis and solution.
