About the role
The Facility Cleaner Supervisor oversees the efficient and effective functioning of the porter team. The porter team is crucial for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the kitchen and other operational areas, ensuring a safe and hygienic working environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of Facility Cleaners to ensure all cleaning and sanitation tasks are completed in a timely and thorough manner.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules to meet operational needs and maintain a high level of cleanliness throughout the facility.
- Train new porters on proper cleaning techniques, chemical usage, and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with sanitation standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Cook with other departments to ensure a seamless workflow and address any cleaning-related issues promptly.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed.
- Enforce safety regulations and practices to minimize accidents and injuries in the workplace.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to the porter team members.
- Collaborate with the management team to implement and improve sanitation policies and procedures.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting a culture of accountability and excellence.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Additional education or certifications in hospitality or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a similar environment such as food service or hospitality.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical usage, and safety protocols.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.
