Facilities Worker

The Facilities Worker maintains the cleanliness, safety, appearance and proper functioning of the Old Orchard Beach Corps facilities and grounds. The position provides routine cleaning, room setup and light grounds care so that the property is ready for worship services, ministry programs, community activities and special events. This position centers on facility maintenance, cleaning and sanitation, room setup, and grounds care. Perform routine inspections of the Corps building, Tabernacle, Seaside Pavilion buildings and groundsIdentify and report maintenance, safety and repair needs to the supervisorClean and sanitize common areas, offices, kitchens and restrooms, and replenish suppliesSet up and break down tables, chairs and rooms for worship services, meetings and eventsPerform seasonal outdoor maintenance, including raking, trimming and basic landscapingAssist with snow and ice removal as assignedFollow safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipmentValid U.S. driver’s licenseAbility to lift, carry, push and move supplies, furniture and equipment as requiredAbility to safely operate common hand tools and cleaning equipmentAbility to work independently and cooperatively with staff and volunteersDependable attendance and punctualityPreferred high school diploma or equivalentPreferred custodial, facilities, maintenance or landscaping experience, including seasonal work in MainePreferred basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting or building maintenance What We Offer Paid time offPaid holidaysSick leavePersonal daysBereavement leaveMedical, dental and vision benefitsShort term and long term disabilityRetirement plan Benefits may vary based on position classification and eligibility.
