About the role
The Lead Facilities Technician provides additional skilled training in electrical, plumbing, carpentry and/or HVAC systems under the direction of the Facilities Director. This position is responsible for maintaining Club building operations while providing the highest level of service to members.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on building systems, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and drywall.
- Lead a team of technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to facility systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
Requirements
- Minimum three (3) years of building operations experience.
- Previous lead experience preferred.
- Professional, friendly manner and excellent customer service attitude and abilities.
- Strong verbal communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable team player.
- Self-motivated, takes initiative, anticipates the needs of others, and willing to acquire new skills.
- Well organized and detail oriented.
- High cleanliness standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, with skills in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and drywall.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
Skills
- Ability to read/understand, analyze, and interpret general training manuals, professional journals, or technical procedures.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from children, managers, Associates, members, and the general public.
- Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
