Facilities Technician III
About the role
The Facilities Technician: Chiller and Compressor Operator is responsible for the operation and maintenance of facilities equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and lighting systems. They also conduct regular inspections, repair and replace defective equipment, and support project management for facility-related projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine Compressor and Chiller/ Tower maintenance tasks.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to identify and address maintenance issues.
- Repair and replace defective equipment, fixtures, and systems as needed.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Cookordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair services.
- Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Support sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives within the facilities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in facilities management or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Compressed Air Systems, Chiller Operations, Boiler Operations, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Able to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and working in various environmental conditions.
- Proficiency with maintenance management software and basic computer skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC certification, electrical license) are a plus.

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges: $60,690.00 - $85,680.00. This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate's skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
