Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain utilities such as HVAC, cleanroom environments, fire/life safety systems, and building controls.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment per SOPs and manufacturer guidelines.
- Execute preventive maintenance programs accurately and on schedule.
- Manage spare parts inventory and recommend purchases to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve processes and system performance.
- Support contractor work for preventive, corrective, and emergency repairs.
- Participate in safety initiatives and proactively address workplace hazards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support facility operations.
Education And Experience Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 3 years of facilities maintenance or related technical experience.
- Cleanroom experience preferred.
Skills And Abilities
- Strong technical aptitude in mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Teams).
- Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to schedule and prioritize according to the needs of the business.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Able to work independently and support flexible schedules.
- Skilled in the use of tools, measuring instruments, and maintenance equipment.
- Worked knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and compressed air systems preferred.
- Able to support weekend or shutdown scheduled facilities events.
- Safe and proficient use of Forklifts and / or Material lifts.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting maintenance of plant equipment, preferred.
Work Environment / Physical Demands
- Ability to work outside, including extreme temperatures, wetness and humidity.
- Ability to work with mechanical, pneumatic and electrical hazards.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more occasionally, 10-25 lbs frequently, or up to 10 lbs constantly.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools and machinery.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to push, pull, reach, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, twist, climb and balance frequently.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate computers and tools.
- Visual acuity to read printed materials, computer screens and small wiring.
- Verbal and auditory ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
