Purpose Of Position
Perform maintenance duties necessary to maintain and enhance the value of our machinery, warehouse equipment including forklifts, aerial lifts, etc. as well as our building and property in a safe and timely manner. Ensure all maintenance meets or exceeds Antiguas quality standards and regulatory safety standards along with keeping accurate records of work performed.
Essential Functions
- Ensure the proper operation of all machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance (PM) in accordance with applicable safety standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry.
- Recommend maintenance and repair schedules in conjunction with the Head of Facilities Operations.
- Prepare PM and repair maintenance documentation to include the root cause of repairs along with response times for both PM and repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and prepare reports for facility management.
- Become proficient with all the functions of our apparel decoration equipment.
- Cookordinate repairs or projects with outside contractors and vendors when necessary.
- Contribute to our environment of continuous improvement and eliminating waste.
- Adhere to safety regulations and standards, ensuring the facility remains compliant with all applicable policies and regulations.
Education, Background and Skill Requirements
- Minimum of an Associates degree or 2-year maintenance/technical educational program required.
- 2+ years direct experience or an Apprenticeship in one of common trades like electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.
- 7 - 10 years of experience in a production maintenance environment.
- Mechanically inclined with proven mechanical capabilities.
- Ability to read and understand most blueprints, electrical diagrams, and equipment specifications.
- Knowledge of electrical wiring and components.
- Experience TPM programs.
- Must have strong initiative, follow-up, and attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing and safety regulatory standards and compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- High level of written and verbal communication skills.
