Facilities Technician II

About the role

Under general supervision performs a wide variety of facility trade and maintenance services to sustain the physical plant of Adelphoi as assigned via the Facility Operations (FO) Work Order system and FO procedures.

Responsibilities

• Uses various tools and equipment related to the type of work to be performed.
• Reviews work orders, assesses and procures parts and materials needed for assignments.
• Partners with other technicians as required to complete daily repairs and a varying degree of supervised construction projects.
• Proficient on all safety protocols.
• Assists with and performs routine work that will include carpentry, painting, basic wiring, plumbing, and HVAC maintenance.
• Completes routine Preventative Maintenance on facility structures and equipment.
• Preforms safety and regulatory inspections as assigned.
• Recognizes when jobs require the use of skills or tools beyond capabilities and observes and practices techniques under the immediate guidance of more experienced technicians.
• Provides information for additional project or repair scope when changes are needed for time.
• May provide assistance to contractors on a limited basis.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent with a preference for trade or vocational training or certificates.
• Experience: 2 to 3 years working within a construction or maintenance role maintaining facilities, remodeling, or reconstructing physical structures.
