Facilities Technician I or II

About the role

Dominion Energy is seeking a Facilities Technician I or II to join the Corporate Facilities Operations and Maintenance Group at our Knolls Campus in Glen Allen, VA. The position will primarily work on buildings Knolls 1 & 3, performing tasks such as preventative maintenance, repair, and responding to customer work orders.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, repair, and customer work orders independently to ensure optimal building and equipment performance.
• Test, troubleshoot, repair, and install mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems independently.
• Assist with evaluating building and equipment conditions to provide repair solutions or improvement recommendations.
• Manage external vendors to ensure compliance with internal policies, OSHA regulations, and federal, state, or local code requirements.
• Complete or assist in testing, inspecting, and maintaining environmental or life safety systems to meet compliance regulations.

Requirements

• Facilities Technician I: 1+ years of directly related experience in Facilities Maintenance, Construction, or relevant trade. Basic knowledge of Building Construction, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire systems.
• Facilities Technician II: 5+ years of directly related experience in Facilities Maintenance, Construction, or relevant trade. Expert knowledge of Building Construction, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire systems.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED
• Prior experience in Facilities Maintenance, Construction, or relevant trade
• Associate degree with a focus in Technology, Construction, or engineering, or completion of a formal HVAC or Electrical apprenticeship program
• Valid driver's license
• Facilities Technician I: Type I, II, & III (Universal) EPA Section 608 Technician Certification
• Facilities Technician II: Journeyman HVAC or Electrician Tradesman License through the Virginia DPOR, Master HVAC or Electrician Tradesman License through the Virginia DPOR, Type I, II, & III (Universal) EPA Section 608 Technician Certification
