About the role

The Facilities Technician I position at Athletic Brewing is a key role in maintaining and improving brewing, packing, and support equipment. The ideal candidate is someone who can think innovatively, operate at high quality standards, and work collaboratively with a diverse team.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a strong technical understanding of brewing, packing, and support equipment.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more areas of the process.
  • Ensure maintenance areas are safe, clean, and orderly.
  • Ensure proper cleanup after completed maintenance work.
  • Maintain respectful work communications.
  • Respond to production questions and issues and follow up as needed with supervisors and managers.
  • Observe equipment in operation to prevent/diagnose potential problems.
  • Identify, suggest, and discuss solutions to equipment and facility issues with management.
  • Complete at least 90% of assigned work orders and PMs through our CMMS.
  • Assign parts to work orders. Include communication/findings in work orders.
  • Assist in pump rebuilds.
  • Calibrate wastewater pH probes.
  • Independently complete PMs on Packaging, brewing, and support equipment.
  • Assume Facilities Apprentice responsibilities when needed.
  • Perform other duties, responsibilities, and activities as assigned.

Requirements

Previous facilities or mechanic experience is required. Previous experience with a CMMS program is preferred but not necessary. Previous experience in manufacturing is preferred but not necessary. Electrician, plumbing, and sanitary welding experience are preferred but not necessary.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this job include sitting, standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, talking or hearing, and tasting or smelling. The employee must regularly lift and/or move more than 50 pounds without assistance. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
