Facilities Technician/ HVAC Technician

Our client, an industry leader in facility management and HVAC services, is seeking a Facilities Technician to join their team in Kernersville, NC. You will be part of the maintenance department supporting the operational excellence of the facility.

About the role

• Diagnose, service, and repair refrigerant-based HVAC equipment including chillers, rooftop units, and heat pumps
• Perform refrigerant recovery, charging, leak detection, and compressor repairs in compliance with EPA standards
• Troubleshoot electrical components, controls, sensors, and automation devices within HVAC systems
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and document findings, repairs, and refrigerant usage
• Support system startups, commissioning, and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal)
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience servicing refrigerant-based HVAC systems
• Experience troubleshooting compressors, refrigerant circuits, and mechanical components
• Knowledge of HVAC electrical systems, low-voltage controls, and safety procedures
