Facilities Technician-Full Time

Responsibilities

• Inspects, services, repairs and overhauls physical plant equipment as directed.
• Enhances the patient/employee experience by maintaining and improving the environment.
• Maintains and monitors refrigeration, chilled water, and air conditioning equipment; boilers, and ventilating and hot water heaters; pumps, valves, piping and filters; other mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Records readings and makes adjustments where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment.
• Assists with the installation and repair of plumbing/piping/tubing; wire single and three phase motors.
• Replaces bearings in all types of motors; replaces seals on pumps; installs and repairs piping, valves, filters, hot water systems and associated controls; assists other mechanics and operators with major repairs and maintenance of building and equipment.
• Installs, repairs, and maintains electrical controls, switching and motor controls.
• Troubleshoots and performs minor repairs to secondary electrical circuits, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, utility and refrigeration systems.
• Monitors operation, repair, and maintenance of refrigeration, water cooling and air conditioning equipment; boilers, heating, ventilating and hot water equipment; pumps, valves, piping and filters; other mechanical and electrical equipment; reports any problems/malfunctions.
• Complies with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.

Requirements

• Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance, repair, and safety procedures required.
• Current and valid Driver's License required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Trade or Vocational School background preferred.

Skills

• Knowledge of maintenance and repair procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs.
• Proficiency in using tools and equipment related to mechanical and electrical maintenance.

Pay

Compensation: $20.00-$29.00 per hour Pay Based On Years Of Experience.
