Facilities Technician (Entry Level)
About the role
Responsible for ensuring SentryWorld's property and mechanical equipment is maintained in the best possible condition with the least amount of inconvenience to guests and associates. At SentryWorld, we’re focused on our guest experiences; this includes maintaining our upscale facility with authentic Wisconsin charm.
The Inn's property meets and exceeds our guests’ expectations, including performing guest room and public area maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, and/or electrical equipment, conducting maintenance checks, and completing general carpentry, tiling, painting, and surface repairs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of the property and mechanical equipment to identify any repair needs and ensure The Inn is running efficiently and safely for guests.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and work with 3rd party vendors and Inn leadership to outsource repairs, as appropriate.
- Perform preventive maintenance activities throughout the property on HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other maintenance systems to ensure the safety, security and comfort of guests.
- Respond to work orders from guests and associates.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to determine hotel maintenance project needs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 1 year of related work experience
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times
- Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings
- Communication and organization skills
- Ability to effectively identify, analyze, and resolve problems.
- Ability to collaborate and work within a team to resolve issues
- Must be able to lift 50+ pounds as needed
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Associate must possess a valid driver’s license and have the ability to drive a company car or personal vehicle for company business

Pay
Based on experience and qualification, the pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hour. Current hours for this role will fall between 8am to 11pm, with varying days depending on business needs.
