About the role

The Facilities Technician role covers 8-10 clubs in the Augusta, GA area. This position involves performing day-to-day service and maintenance on cardio and strength equipment, as well as other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully repair out-of-order equipment as requested by clubs and receive sign-off of successful completion by the club staff.
  • Communicate with senior facilities technicians daily on progress and obstacles at assigned clubs.
  • Consistently achieve at-standard results on the KPI scorecard.
  • Complete thorough club walk-throughs at each location visited for preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain and update work schedules using Microsoft Outlook.
  • Review received club facilities complaints monthly and address outstanding items.
  • Maintain company vehicle inventory and cleanliness.
  • Accurately document any work done on warranted equipment.
  • Achieve a minimum of 10% of allotted time to be targeted towards equipment warranty work.
  • Aid other Facilities team members as needed.

Requirements

  • Continuous grasp/grip, push/pull, bend, twist/turn, kneel, carry, walk, stand, and reach above shoulder level throughout the shift.
  • Frequent movement of equipment and boxes weighing up to 80 pounds.
  • Frequent work in a noisy environment with exposure to cleaning chemicals and sharp objects such as box cutters.
  • Occasional climbing and working in inclement weather.
  • Occasional sitting in a car or on a plane, up to 3-hours one-way for travel to clubs.
  • Must have & maintain a “clean” driving record.
  • Must have & maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Submit an annual Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, as required.
  • Mechanical and electrical service background, highly desired.
  • Forklift certification, a plus.
  • Possess basic computer skills, including knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail, efficient, and organized with an ability to establish priorities and objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills along with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Comfortable, easy, and flexible working in an extremely fast-paced ever-changing, deadline-driven environment.
  • Cooperative team player with an upbeat, positive, “can-do” attitude!
  • Willing and able to travel on Sundays, as needed, work early morning and evening shifts (i.e., as early as 7am and as late as 9pm).
  • Willing and able to work with dollies and pallet jacks, pushing/pulling up to 500lbs at a time, not exceeding 2,500lbs with a team assist.
