Facilities Technician
Role Summary
The role of the Facility Technician at Spring Fertility is important to perform new and ongoing maintenance of facility related duties to support the clinic operations and assist in creating a world-class experience within our centers. This role is responsible for facilities issues at all Spring Fertility locations and must be proactive in the oversight of these responsibilities.
Professional Requirements
- Building Management & Clinic Maintenance:
- Follow all assigned checklists and ensure a maintenance ticket is logged for all follow up items
- Identify, troubleshoot and repair minor electrical problems, issues with HVAC, mechanical equipment, lighting, appliances and other applicable items relating to clinic maintenance
- Identify and perform minor repairs to structural surfaces including walls, ceiling, and floors; including light repainting of walls
- Clock in/out for shifts
- Coordinate and escort third-party vendors as assigned
- Maintain a clean and well-organized workspace including the identification of hazards in storage and paths of egress
- Develop and maintain relationship with building management and maintenance
- Be familiar with rules and regulations of building usage
- Respond to facilities support requests as assigned
- Safety & Maintenance of Records:
- Participate as a member of the safety team
- Help educate staff on good safety practices
- Utilize computerized maintenance and ticketing systems for work orders and tasks
- Preventative Maintenance:
- Follow preventative maintenance schedule as directed by Facilities Manager
- Perform preventative maintenance and/or coordinate outside vendors for repairs and preventative maintenance
- Communication:
- Proactive communication skills, attention to detail, follow up documentation
- Good organization and effective oral and written skills to communicate with leadership, peers, fellow employees and vendors
- Use a variety of communication methods, including the company instant messaging system. Be familiar with Microsoft Office suite
- Learn and apply emerging technologies and advances as necessary to perform duties in an efficient, organized, and timely manner
- Communicate with departments and personnel, vendors, and the public as necessary to coordinate departmental operations and activities
Education, Licenses, Certifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
- Trade school or relevant certifications and/or job experience.
- Minimum 2 years of Facilities experience
Employment Type
This is a non-exempt position that requires early morning hours, rotational weekends and holidays.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $28-31/hr. Salary is based on several factors including job related knowledge and skill set, depth of experience, certifications and/or degrees.
