From inspecting and repairing electrical and plumbing systems to tackling general building maintenance, your work ensures a safe, reliable, and well-functioning environment. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance of building systems, plumbing, electrical, and general infrastructure (e.g., painting, general carpentry, floor repairs, installing general office equipment, lighting).
- Develop preventative maintenance schedules.
- Perform regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and building codes, identifying potential hazards.
- Diagnose issues with building systems and equipment, providing timely solutions to minimize downtime.
- Respond to plant-related emergencies, such as power outages, floods, and weather threats.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair services.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand plant needs and address concerns promptly.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for all associates.
- Work all required work schedules.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
- Maintains Perdue Farms QEW Certification.
- Commitment to Continuous Learning to achieve increasing levels of expertise.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2-year Technical Degree in Engineering or Industrial Maintenance.
Physical Requirements
- Sitting, standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, reaching overhead and/or at shoulder level, lifting (50 lbs.), and/or repetitive tasks throughout the day.
- Position requires occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
- Day travel to nearby locations is sometimes required.
- May need to access files, supplies, and equipment.
