As a Facilities Technician, you will join a team focused on excellence, teamwork, and continuous learning.
Responsibilities
- Meet established standards to promote customer satisfaction, economics, productivity, innovation, people growth, and organizational climate.
- Perform minor electrical maintenance, including light fixtures, lamps, ballasts, switches, outlets, and appliances.
- Perform minor plumbing maintenance, such as leak repairs, drain unclogging, and faucet rebuilding.
- Assist with building system assessments and repairs, including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
- Maintain preventative maintenance logs and respond to alarms and inspections.
- Coordinate repairs with other staff, agencies, and contractors, ensuring compliance with local codes and guidelines.
- Participate in grounds maintenance, parking lot, and sidewalk upkeep, and assist with campus beautification.
- Support the department on-call rotation and participate in other related duties.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and emergency generator operation is helpful.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
- Willingness to learn hospital/departmental emergency procedures and promote effective communication.
- Excellent time management skills.
