About the role
We are searching for a skilled and hands-on Facilities Technician to join our manufacturing team! In this role, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of our facilities and equipment, ensuring a safe and smooth operation for our production processes.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and troubleshoot potential issues.
- Repair and maintain machinery and equipment used in production processes.
- Aid with minor construction projects and renovations.
- Maintain an inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
- Respond to work order requests and emergency maintenance needs.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and procedures.
- May assist with maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems is a plus.
- Experience with preventative maintenance practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift and maneuver heavy objects.
