Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair production equipment, plant utilities, and building systems to keep operations running safely and efficiently
- Impact production teams, maintenance peers, and operations leadership by diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and completing preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems; read advanced schematics and P&ID drawings
- Use diagnostic tools (voltage meters, oscilloscopes, ammeters) to isolate faults
- Maintain and repair air compressors, air dryers, gas systems, water and vacuum systems, and alarm systems
- Install and adjust functional and structural parts, control instrumentation, and special device components
- Install, assemble, and perform preventative maintenance on hydraulic systems; diagnose and repair pumps and motors
- Follow and document Preventive Maintenance Instructions; complete testing and repair records and daily labor reporting
- Educate and train equipment operators on routine maintenance and autonomous maintenance tasks
- Support plant safety programs, report unsafe conditions or incidents, and maintain a clean, orderly work area consistent with 5S standards
- Participate in High-Performance Team (HPT) activities and continuous improvement projects
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 5+ years of related maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical motion control components
- Experience with industrial plant electrical wiring, code requirements, and machine mechanical/electrical operation
- Familiarity with OSHA health and safety rules and regulations
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Qualifications
- Vocational degree or technical school training (preferred)
- Forklift certification or experience with scissor lifts and jenny booms
- Experience with welding, HVAC, plumbing, pneumatics, and heavy manufacturing equipment
