Summary – Job Responsibilities – Activities Neeltran Inc. is seeking a dependable and hands-on Facilities Technician to support the daily operation and upkeep of our manufacturing facility in New Milford, CT. This position is ideal for someone mechanically inclined who enjoys working with their hands, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and assisting with general maintenance and manufacturing-related tasks as needed. The Facilities Technician will perform facility maintenance, machine setups, janitorial, material-handling duties, and provide flexible support to manufacturing operations as required. Functions Facilities & Janitorial SupportMaintain cleanliness and organization of the facility, including production areas, storage areas, and common spacesRemove and dispose of cardboard, scrap wood, and other waste materialsMonitor, maintain, and arrange service for dumpsters and recycling containersPerform routine cleaning and upkeep tasks to support a safe working environmentResponsiuble for ordering required equipment, tools, machinery and suppliesMaintain all maintenance records, receipts and contact informationAble to perform minor electrical repairs (i.e., replace recepticales, light switches, fuses, etc.)Responsible for maintaining alarm systemMaintenance & Mechanical SupportLead service repairs of facility, machinery, and equipmentTroubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment and processesThrough expertise and outside help, lead and direct others in repair, setup, modifications and/or addition of any other machineryPerform general facility maintenance tasks such as repairs, equipment setup, and preventive maintenanceMaintain and service all maintenance equipment, tools and machineryUse basic hand and power tools—“turning a wrench” type workManufacturing SupportProvide assistance to manufacturing personnel as needed during busy periods or special projectsSupport the team for changing over and/or setting up the complex manufacturing equipmentSupport material movement, staging, or light production-related tasksSupport continuous improvement and general shop needs as assignedSafety & General DutiesFollow all safety procedures and company policiesReport maintenance issues or safety concerns promptlyBe an active change agent within the safety committee – lead the team on implementation of safety improvemenetsMaintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good conditionPerform other duties as assigned to support facility and operations needsreparation of products and materials for use in paint.Operates and maintains ovens, vacuum chambers, paint booths and other related painting process equipmentAccurately produces cell products without excessive defects.Other duties as assigned.Education – Experience: 2+ years of prior facilities, maintenance, or shop experienceStrong background in industrial electricalMechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machine maintenanceAbility to perform basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, heating, cooling, installations, repairsComfortable using hand tools and power toolsAbility to perform physical work, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periodsDependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a teamGood communication skills and a positive attitude Required Skills, Competencies, Authorities and Training Needs: Reliable to schedule 5 days a week plus OT as requiredAbility to be a supportive team memberAbility to stand, stoop and or kneel for extended periods of timeAbility to drive forklift and operate crane once trainedAbility to use aerial lift once trainedAbility to climb ladders and maneuver through tight area.Ability to move large items such as furniture and equipment frequentlyDesire to utilize PPE, harness/fall arrest system, and other safety devices as provided and required.Ability to lift up to 75lbs on a regular basis and stand/walk 95% of the dayAbility and willingness to work overtime to meet business needs AMSC is an EEO MIFIDN
