Facilities Technician

About the role

The Facilities Technician supports the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical greenhouse infrastructure systems and equipment, focusing on industrial-sized irrigation equipment, boilers, LED lighting, cooling equipment, and backup generation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Execute key reactive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Work cross-functionally with growing and maintenance teams to drive operational success.
• Troubleshoot and repair facilities systems.
• Execute CMMS work orders.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns.
• Assist with projects and safety compliance.

Requirements

• TCAT or equivalent work experience required.
• 2–3 years of related experience preferred.
• Experience with CMMS preferred.
• No fear of heights (glass repair).
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Electrical troubleshooting.
• Plumbing.
• Mechanical skills.
• Good work ethic and independently driven.
• Team player.
• Ability to drive a forklift.
• Standing on feet for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Working in both greenhouse and cold storage environments.
• Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Pay

$22–$32/hour, commensurate with experience.
