Facilities Technician

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled and nonscheduled repair, maintenance and installation of machinery, tools, equipment and/or associated equipment to ensure continuous and safe operation of the property
• Affixes to maintenance related items on Race Track, when needed
• Submits requests for expenditures associated with repairs, upkeep, and improvement to the Manager of Facilities
• Directly or indirectly supports all exterior grounds activities, including snow removal, grass cutting, landscaping, the parking garage and other exterior area needs
• Safeguards all sanitation processes and procedures including rodent and pest control
• Performs painting, structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, wallpaper and treatments, and furnishings of buildings
• Directly or indirectly supports the installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems and water distribution, including fire suppression and sewerage facilities, fresh water pumping station
• Accountable for OSHA compliance at Hollywood Gaming
• Implements and monitors controls designed to assure full compliance with all federal, state, corporate and property laws, policies and/or mandates
• Maintains interaction with colleagues across departments
• Monitors control systems for building and related water system

Qualifications

• Two years related experience and/or training preferred; High School diploma; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Ability to read and communicate verbally in English
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

Education and/or Experience

• Two years related experience and/or training preferred
• High School diploma; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Language Skills

• Ability to read and communicate verbally in English
