About the Role
As a Facilities Associate, you will maintain the internal and external appearance of both Owings Mills locations. This includes performing basic building and grounds upkeep, assisting with minor and routine repairs, and preventative maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine daily rounds of the facility to replenish consumable supplies such as copier paper, paper towels, toilet paper, and soap.
- Gather all trash and recyclables from the buildings to be taken to outside dumpsters.
- Dust, vacuum, and perform general daily spot cleaning of both buildings.
- Maintain responsibility for reporting when the compactor requires emptying or service.
- Perform simple building maintenance and repairs, such as changing light bulbs and ballasts, patching and painting drywall, replacing water filters, and completing simple part changes on production equipment.
- Support basic grounds maintenance requests, including arranging patio areas and addressing simple parking lot and landscaping issues.
- Assist with cleanup of events.
- Coordinate with supervisors and coworkers to meet deadlines and identify new projects.
- Enter information into the ticketing system and facilities calendar to track jobs and assignments.
- Ensure regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma is required; prior experience or training in facilities, janitorial, or maintenance is preferred.
- Ability to write effective correspondence to coworkers.
- Valid driving license.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, you will regularly stand for prolonged periods, reach with hands and arms, walk, stoop, bend, and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work environment: The role involves regular proximity to moving mechanical parts and other employees. The noise level is moderate to loud, typically from light machinery, printers, and employee conversations.
