Facilities Technician

Job Description

The Facilities Technician assists the Operations Manager or Manager on Duty with safety plans, operating standards, and guidelines. Responsibilities include installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various building systems, performing preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and custodial duties.

• Operate a variety of equipment for maintenance and cleanliness.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on interior/exterior areas such as painting, drywall, parking lots, sidewalks, plumbing, clearing drains, lighting, flooring, and roofs.
• Absorb and support GGP’s Safety, Health, and Environment Policy.
• Engage in training and continuing education for safety and competency.
• Assist with emergency planning and response.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Clear communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, plans, and schematic drawings.
• OSHA General Industries 10-Hour course is preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook (email).
• Familiarity with basic computer software.
• Bilingual welcome.
