Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled service on CNC machinery, including lathes, mills, multi-axis machines, and associated support systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues specific to CNC equipment.
- Clean and maintain machine components, including removing and reinstalling parts as needed for service and repair.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical failures, worn parts, and control system issues to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and service logs for all CNC equipment.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to identify machine performance issues and implement solutions.
- Clock in with the Maintenance Manager to schedule downtime for service without disrupting operations.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with ISO, OSHA, and GMP standards.
Experience, Qualifications, and Skills
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Three (3) or more years of CNC maintenance experience is required.
- Extensive knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, OSHA, DOT, and other safety regulations and rules is necessary.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
- The ability to read and interpret technical documents such as electrical and mechanical schematics, part manuals, and troubleshooting guides is required.
- The ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed is crucial.
- The ability to plan maintenance schedules for buildings and equipment systems is important.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software is preferred.
