Facilities Technician
Job Summary
Performs routine building maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures. Assists in a wide variety of maintenance activities; addresses immediate operational and/or safety concerns; and ensures that tools, materials and vehicles are maintained in good working order.
About the role
We are looking for a talented Facilities Technician to join our Distribution business in Omaha, NE. Will Make An Impact In The Following Ways:
- Perform facility maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, flooring, and lighting repairs
- Utilize maintenance software to track, prioritize, and complete reactive, preventive, predictive, and planned maintenance activities
- Maintain a safe work environment by identifying hazards, following safety procedures, and supporting compliance initiatives
- Operate and maintain facility equipment, powered tools, forklifts, golf carts, and other equipment as required
- Order supplies, manage spare part inventory, and support facility operational needs
- Maintain facility grounds, exterior areas, pits, sumps, and general housekeeping activities
- Partner with service and parts teams to retrieve parts, fuel, and other items needed to support operational requirements
- Support facility improvements and maintenance projects to ensure reliable building operations
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of facility maintenance, repair, and mechanical systems
- Ability to perform repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, and general building maintenance
- Experience using powered hand tools and operating material handling equipment preferred
- Strong commitment to safety and ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions
- Good communication and teamwork skills with a customer-focused mindset
- Able to prioritize tasks and respond to maintenance needs with urgency
- Valid CDL required (Class A with Passenger Endorsement preferred)
- Ability to meet DOT and FMCSA requirements, including physical examination, driving record standards, and drug/alcohol testing requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
Qualifications
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations

Minimal or no work experience required.
