Facilities Technician

About the role

The Facilities Technician at St Anthony North Hospital is responsible for performing maintenance service and repairs of buildings, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities include general maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, equipment maintenance, and safety testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance tasks
• Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
• Participate in regular inspections and maintenance schedules
• Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and other staff members

Requirements

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. required
• One to two years general maintenance experience required
• Strong communication skills; ability to read, write, and speak English
• Basic computer skills
• Valid Driver License required

Qualifications

• Technical degree in a facilities-related field preferred
• Minimum of one year of hospital facilities or healthcare construction experience preferred

Skills

• Proficiency in basic tools and equipment used in maintenance work
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and up to 20 lbs frequently

Pay

The posted compensation range is $19.62 - $33.04 per hour, reflecting the lowest and highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.

Schedule

Works Monday through Friday, with occasional on-call shifts.
