Facilities Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Provide assistance in basic facilities maintenance tasks (tooling maintenance)
• Conference room and meeting setup support
• Aiding with supplies

Technical Skills

• Must be able to use hand & power tools
• Can use measurement instruments
• Willing to learn
• Can assist and assemble parts
• Can make basic calculations

Supervision/Priority Setting

• Can work with close supervision or independently
• Follows instructions

Judgment/Problem Solving

• Will identify/report obvious problems

Oral/Written Communication

• Willing to communicate clearly and openly with all levels

Working Conditions

• Occasionally must be able to lift 40 lbs.
• Walk, climb stairs, pull, push, grab, bend, stoop or kneel frequently
• The ability to stand for an 8-hour shift
• Clearly and comfortably view, interpret and process information within the department
• Using a computer monitor for extended periods during normal working hours is required

Qualifications and Experience

• 1-2 years’ experience in similar activities
• Willingness to take directions from others, work independently and in cross-functional teams
