Facilities Technician

About the role

Role And Responsibilities

• Inspects completed work for performance with requirements of local building and safety codes
• Performs routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on buildings for manufacturing facilities
• Maintains and troubleshoots systems such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and alarms
• Monitors fire safety systems and ensures they are functional and compliant
• Keeps records of daily inspections
• Prioritizes daily activities and work order scheduling
• Communicates progress and delays of all preventive maintenance work orders, related jobs, and other repair activities to ensure good customer service
• Interacts courteously with the staff, vendors, and public; maintains effective working relationships
• Creates PO's, PR's for materials and supplies using established guidelines and procedures as required
• Participates in safety training and meetings and uses safe working practices at all times
• Responds to emergencies as requested activities and repairs

Skills and Experience

• 5 + years equivalent of proven facilities experience
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Able to work efficiently with cross functional team
• Able to multitask and have the ability to manage multiple projects at a time
• Able to understand and resolve facilities issues independently
• Good computer and communication skills (written, verbal, and active listening)
• Highly motivated self-starter, capable of self-management with little to no oversight
• Proven ability to establish effective cross-functional working relationships
• Knowledge of MS Office including Power Point, Excel, and Word

Pay

Salary Ranges: $28.02 - $40.32
