About the role

Responsible for overseeing repairs, maintenance, and operations for Option Care Health’s licensed pharmacies. The Facilities Technical Specialist will proactively deliver solutions to maximize uptime for clean rooms across the national portfolio, limiting patient care risk. Ensures reactive maintenance issues are addressed with urgency and communication to stakeholders is managed effectively. Efficiently manages status reporting for transparent views into facilities-related clean room workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates reactive and proactive maintenance and repair visits from various facilities vendors
  • Utilizes CMMS system to track and provide updates throughout the life of a work order
  • Finds new service providers for various trades as needed
  • Validates assessments from external vendors for reactive work orders, particularly for mechanical-related visits
  • Works closely with engineering resources to drive mechanical improvements and retrofits
  • Manages procurement of clean room fixtures, furniture, and equipment
  • Reviews and approves facilities-related invoices
  • Serves as remote critical point of contact for pharmacy team members nationwide
  • Reviews preventative maintenance reports and proactively addresses action items
  • Manages and reviews service contracts
  • Recommends maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications
  • Participates in forecasting and oversees financial resources for clean room-related spend
  • Manages clean room remediation projects

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 5 years of facility management experience or related positions
  • Experience managing vendors and overseeing performance
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Windows-based programs and data entry
  • Ability to identify operational issues and recommend process improvements
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and project management skills
  • Strong mechanical knowledge, particularly with HVAC systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • CFM and/or other industry certification
  • Experience with CAFM and/or CMMS
  • Building construction and mechanical systems technologies knowledge
  • Knowledge of cleanroom operations, maintenance, and engineering requirements; USP regulations

  • Problem-solving and decision-making
  • Ability to work cooperatively with pharmacy branch departments and corporate clinical staff
  • Ability to evaluate information and take action to reach goals

Physical Demands

  • Working in office, warehouse, mechanical, and machinery rooms
  • Working from home office/remotely
  • Traveling to cities and towns across the USA
  • Ability to use ladder, hand, and power tools

Travel Requirements

Ability to travel frequently and upon short notice, both locally and nationally.

Pay

Salary range is $57,187.58–$95,312.63, determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and market alignment.
