Requirements
- High School Graduate
- Four years mechanical, electrical, and plumbing experience
- Maintain a current Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC or Contractors License, or Associates Degree
Responsibilities
- Verifies customer satisfaction after service requests
- Develops comprehensive and effective plans
- Schedules and coordinates work activities
- Maintains staffing plans
- Establishes short and long-term goals and executes them
- Holds weekly meetings to update on current issues and communicate effectively
- Complies with regulatory inspections and maintains documentation
- Ensures proper testing and maintenance of life safety items
- Maintains a 95% completion rate for Preventive Maintenance tasks
- Maintains proper inventory control and ensures timely document submission
- Maintains patient and staff comfort and safety
- Supports strategic and departmental initiatives
- Oversees the shop mechanic and ensures equipment rooms are maintained
- Provides reports of rounds and ensures equipment rooms are visited regularly
- Manages plumbing and related tasks, including indoor and outdoor fountains
- Works with administration, architects, and engineers to value engineer projects
- Controls supply budget through proper inventory management
- Assures all equipment and systems are operational and compliant with regulations
