About the Role

At Chart, we design and build some of the world’s most advanced cryogenic equipment. Our customers bring us challenges, and from concept to commissioning, you’ll help create solutions that support industries like aerospace, clean energy, food and beverage, and more. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and well-maintained operation of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural components.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair buildings, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, landscaping, painting, cleaning, appliances, utilities, fencing/gates, and fire systems
• Collaborate with specialized contractors or technicians for complex repairs
• Replace worn or damaged parts in machines and equipment such as trucks, tractors, lawn mowers, and other facility-related tools
• Perform routine inspections of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and structural systems to identify potential issues and prevent malfunctions
• Conduct preventive maintenance, including changing filters, repairing leaks, replacing light bulbs, and servicing equipment

• Ability to work independently and self-direct
• Ability to work well in group problem-solving situations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication skills for understanding safety instructions, work procedures, and job-related communications

Physical Work Environment

• Daily use of PPE required
• Indoor and outdoor work environments
• Lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs
• Frequent sitting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, walking, climbing, and occasional crawling
• Frequent pushing, pulling, and handling of materials
• Occasional climbing and working at elevated positions

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing setting
• Minimum of 2 years' working knowledge of hand and power tool usage and safety
• Machine operations and welding processes are a plus
