About the role
As a Facilities Technician I, you will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining a safe and productive environment that supports the success of our employees and customers.
Responsibilities
- MUST obey all safety rules and procedures including LOTO, PPE requirements, and fall protection.
- Commitment to working other shifts or extended hours if needed, willing to answer after-hour calls, and help establish a world-class maintenance team.
- Troubleshoot and repair facilities equipment in the distribution center.
- Provides support for all departments in the distribution center to maintain productivity.
- Understand and comply with proper use of PIT equipment, lifts, ladders, power and hand tools, and other required tools and equipment.
- Daily job responsibilities include:
- Oracle Workorder Management - CM & PM
- Grounds and General Building Upkeep
- Paint/Sheetrock Repair
- Installation of Signage/Labels/Decals
- Battery Changing
- Operate Floor Scrubber and Misc Other Equipment
- General Construction/Assembly
- Aid with Basic Electrical Repairs
- Aid with Rack Repair
- Aid with Escorting, Monitoring, and Aiding Contractors
- Maintain Accurate Parts Inventory
- Run Errands as Needed
- Other Related Duties as Assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Good judgment, detail orientation, and independent decision-making skills
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Experience working in general construction, warehouse maintenance, or other related fields
- Experience with CMMS Systems and general computer skills
Qualifications
- Physical Demands: Standing for long periods of time, frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling, ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds routinely, with or without reasonable accommodation, ability to climb ladders, stairs, and work at heights using lifts or elevated platforms, ability to work in varying environmental conditions including heat, cold, dust, noise, and confined spaces, manual dexterity required to operate tools, equipment, and controls safely and effectively on elevated surfaces, ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including fall protection, safety shoes, gloves, eye protection, and hearing protection.
