This hybrid role combines light facilities maintenance with day porter cleaning duties to keep the facility safe, functional, and presentable. The position is split approximately 50/50 between the two functions. Facilities Maintenance (50%) Respond to assigned maintenance tickets within defined service timeframesPerform minor repairs:Plumbing (fix leaks, unclog drains, replace fixtures)Electrical (replace bulbs, outlets, switches)Door adjustments, hardware installation, minor patchwork)Conduct routine inspections of HVAC units, lighting systems, and restroom fixtures/water systems; replace filters and minor componentsAssist with preventative maintenance activitiesDocument completed work and note follow-up needsElevate repair tasks that exceed current qualification level Day Porter / Cleaning (50%) Provide ongoing (not just end-of-day) cleaning of common areas: lobbies, restrooms, break rooms, hallway= Clean and sanitize fixtures multiple times daily; sweep, mop, vacuum, dustAddress spills, hazards, and urgent cleaning needs promptlyEmpty trash and recycling regularly, replace liners, and transport waste to disposal areasRestock soap, paper products, and hygiene supplies; track and report inventory levels to supervisorMonitor for plumbing/sanitation issues and report promptlyMaintain a neat, professional facility appearance at all times
