Facilities Support Technician
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Facilities Support Technician provides hands-on support for the repair, maintenance, and upkeep of Slim Chickens' company-operated locations. This part-time role works directly alongside the Facilities Manager to execute tasks that require two-person coordination.
Essential Position Responsibilities
- Assist the Facilities Manager in the hands-on execution of repair and maintenance tasks across company-operated restaurant locations
- Serve as the required second person for tasks that involve physical load requirements, elevated work, or safety protocols
- Perform general maintenance duties including minor repairs, installations, equipment checks, and preventive maintenance activities
- Auxiliary in risk management efforts by identifying and reporting potential safety hazards, damaged equipment, or facility conditions that require attention
- Aid in vendor access coordination and on-site support during service calls when a second point of contact is needed
- Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in good working order and proper storage
- Complete work orders and document completed tasks accurately
- Respond to facilities-related needs at assigned locations as directed

Physical Requirements
- This is a physically demanding role. The Facilities Support Technician must be able to:
- Lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 lbs. regularly and occasionally more with assistance
- Climb ladders and work at heights
- Bend, kneel, crouch, and work in confined or awkward spaces
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in facilities maintenance, general repair, construction trades, or a related field preferred
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems a plus
- Ability to follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) properly
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision when needed
- Strong communication skills and a team-first approach
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. This position requires daily local travel
- Able to work a flexible part-time schedule, including occasional early mornings or weekends based on operational needs
- Experience 1+ years of experience in a maintenance, construction, trades, or facilities support role preferred
- Restaurant or retail facilities experience a plus
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational or technical training in a relevant trade is a plus.
