About the Role

Responsible and advanced Facilities Management customer support work involving obtaining, maintaining, and providing information about County operations. Coordinates, assigns, tracks, and closes facilities work requests. Provides professional and courteous responses via telephone, in person, in writing, and online. Includes lead worker responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact to provide Facilities Management service information and support to County departments, Constitutional Offices, and other customer groups.
  • Assign work requests to Facilities Technicians and service vendors, ensuring work order quality assurance.
  • Provide specific information about Facilities Management procedures, regulations, and services.
  • Receive and coordinate responses to requests for information and services, resolving complex questions referred by team members.
  • Perform clerical duties, including processing records, worksheets, logs, and applications for services.
  • Perform data retrieval and entry into software applications, update information, and generate reports.
  • Assist citizens, customers, and team members with inquiries, complaints, investigations, billing questions, and account information.
  • Work additional hours and perform related duties during Emergency Operations Center activation.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to assign work orders and ensure completion within Service Level Agreements.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.
  • Three years of experience in customer service or service dispatch centers involving frequent customer contact.
  • Three years of experience using a personal computer and related software.
  • Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license.

Skills

  • Knowledge of standard office methods and procedures.
  • Knowledge of County departments, operations, and regulations.
  • Ability to maintain records/files, prepare reports, and disseminate information effectively.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public.
  • Strong communication skills via telephone, in person, in writing, and online.
  • Proficiency in using computers, related software, and spreadsheets to track, sort, and report information.
  • Ability to follow complex oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to maintain accurate accounting and inventory records.
