Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of the facility, grounds, and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform general building maintenance, including repairs to plumbing, HVAC, lighting, minor electrical systems, structural components, and other facility systems.
- Repair mechanical processing equipment or coordinate repairs with approved vendors when necessary.
- Develop and execute preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Submit, track, and manage facility maintenance work orders through the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Maintain inventory levels of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and tools required to support facility operations.
- Manage relationships with facility service providers, including waste management vendors.
- Cookordinate subcontractors for facility repairs, preventative maintenance, and improvement projects.
- Assist the General Manager with capital improvement projects and facility upgrades.
- Promote a safe working environment by following all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility by performing general housekeeping duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, and other cleaning tasks.
- Ensure compliance with company sanitation standards and maintain strict sanitation practices throughout the facility.
- Participate in weekly meetings with other Facility Managers to share best practices and operational updates.
- Support the development of additional facilities team members, providing supervisory and leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager and Corporate Facilities Manager to support efficient facility operations.
Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years of facilities maintenance, industrial maintenance, or related experience.
- Supervisory and team leadership experience.
- Demonstrated experience performing preventative maintenance and facility repairs.
- Proficiency with power tools and common hand tools, including drills, saws, hammers, wrenches, hoists, and related equipment.
- Ability to diagnose equipment issues and disassemble machinery to repair or replace defective components.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, repair manuals, technical drawings, and parts catalogs.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Able to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, or off-hours when business needs require.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
