Facilities Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

  • Prioritize and hold paramount the health, safety, and welfare of the residents and staff at all times.
  • Supervise work performed by maintenance and landscape personnel on a daily basis.
  • Review weekly rounds data sheets to ensure all equipment and facility operations meet expectations.
  • Show strong problem-solving skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in a disciplined manner and effectively propose and carry out effective solutions to a range of complex problems.
  • Collaborate with Department Director when ordering the proper amount of supplies for the department.
  • Establish and maintain good inter-department working relationships and with residents and outside vendors.
  • Able to teach and coach team members on processing and troubleshooting.
  • Interpret company policies and procedures to department employees and enforce safety regulations.
  • Suggest changes in the use of equipment to increase efficiency of work.
  • Respond to emergency situations.
  • Available for On-Call rotation and assist with after-hour calls.
  • Work with team members and manage the workflow of CMMS work orders and preventative maintenance tasks by creating and assigning work orders to the appropriate team member or vendor and ensure they are completed.
  • Responsible to track, maintain and update departmental statistics related to: CMMS software, shop dashboards and unit turns.
  • Schedule and oversee all electrical, plumbing, landscaping, HVAC, and building repairs.
  • Ensure that all facilities standards are enforced and completed in an efficient manner.
  • Stay current with the latest facility trends and offer creative innovations with efficiency in mind.
  • Takes an active role in the Life Safety Program to include emergency preparedness audits and surveys to ensure a safe and accident-free work environment in compliance with company, state, federal, OSHA, building and health department laws and regulations.
  • Periodically inspect all units, buildings, and common areas, as needed.
  • Have knowledge regarding emergency shut off valves and infrastructure locations.
  • Demonstrate the Sun Health Vibrant Living culture and provides all customers/audience with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating Sun Health behaviors each and every day.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior facility management preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Possess current or has the ability to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.
