Facilities Supervisor

Job Summary

Responsible for assisting the Engineering Manager in planning, scheduling and supervising maintenance and repair personnel assigned to the department. Performs the duties of the engineering supervisor in his/her absence. Assists the engineering supervisor in supervising the engineering department’s electricians, maintenance mechanics and HVAC techs. Teaches and explains the operation and function of the Hospital systems. Installs repairs and performs preventive maintenance on various items of plant equipment in accordance with diagrams, operating manuals, maintenance schedules and manufacturer specifications using hand and power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments. Operates, tests and maintains diesel engine units used for emergency power and related storage tanks and transfer pumps. Maintains and repairs air handlers, exhaust fans, supply fans, patient beds, steam generators/boilers, heating boilers and oxygen, vacuum and pneumatic tube systems. Repairs, operates and maintains hot water heating water systems to boilers, transfer pumps, heating coils, piping and related controls.

Qualifications

• Graduation Associate degree or equivalent trade school certificate.
• LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Licensed through the State of Texas in Air Conditioning, Heating, Electrical, or HVAC/Refrigeration.
• Experience: At least five years experience in general maintenance and repair with at least 1 year in an administrative position.
