Facilities Supervisor

About the Role

This position involves moving throughout the facility for random and regular inspections, member interactions, and staff supervision to ensure the safety and welfare of users and the building. The role requires a broad knowledge of maintenance trades and systems, leadership of a maintenance team, and proactive cooperation across departments.

Responsibilities

• Perform facility inspections and supervise staff to ensure safety and building welfare.
• Apply knowledge of plumbing, construction, HVAC, carpentry, electrical, and mechanical trades.
• Maintain working knowledge of chillers, boilers, pumps, VAVs, air handlers, CHP, and building automated systems.
• Keep maintenance shops and storage rooms orderly and compliant with safety regulations.
• Supervise, prioritize, motivate, and evaluate maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of duties and minimize labor costs.
• Mentor subordinates and drive team performance.
• Implement and manage a preventive service program.
• Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and CMMS systems to analyze data and generate reports.
• Promote a multi-functional team environment with clear communication across departments.
• Understand occupational hazards and safety precautions related to maintenance trades.
• Lead direct reports to enhance operating efficiency.
• Serve as on-call maintenance for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain a sense of urgency regarding all casino business operations.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Manage maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using approved programs.
• Demonstrate proficiency in the safe use of hand and power tools for repair and maintenance tasks.
• Assist trades and custodial departments as required.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a gaming license from the Maryland Lottery Gaming and Control Commission.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three or more years of supervisory experience.
• Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in maintenance for commercial buildings and grounds.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Pay

Annual salary starting from $50,000.00 USD.
