Facilities Specialist - Carpentry

About the role

Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company providing analytical testing services across multiple industries. This position involves performing maintenance, construction, and carpentry work within a laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform new duties with minimal guidance
• Assist with projects and respond to emergent repairs
• Perform routine and non-routine duties independently
• Diagnose problems and suggest possible solutions
• Understand technical knowledge or skills not easily or quickly learned on the job
• Use power tools to complete tasks and projects
• Complete and/or assist with carpentry projects
• Maintain inventory of supplies
• Maintain outside grounds
• Give general assistance to supervisor
• Communicate effectively with client staff members
• Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Majority of time spent on various construction, drywall, and carpentry projects
• Working independently and in a team environment on internal construction projects of various size and scope
• Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• Minimum of one year of experience in general maintenance
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Schedule

Full-time, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.–3 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster, Pennsylvania are encouraged to apply.
