Responsibilities
- Plan projects for facility improvements from concept to completion
- Create and implement an effective preventative maintenance program and ensure all compliance standards are maintained and regulatory maintenance is executed
- Forecast budget for the Facilities department and monitor throughout the year
- Supervise a team of hourly maintenance technicians across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts
- Coordinate facilities initiatives with the Operations team to support production
- Ensure equipment and services purchased are of acceptable quality and cost-effective
- Develop and coordinate department proposals for facilities projects
- Be on call for all facilities-related emergencies
- Negotiate, maintain, and review contracts for all third-party contractors (cleaners, waste removal, vending, recycling, security provider, etc.)
- Provide technical support and guidance to controls technicians for out-of-the-ordinary electronics problems
- Work with cross-functional teams to perform machine modifications, make control logic changes, and provide updated training and documentation
- Work directly with the Lead Maintenance Specialist and fill in or replace during absences
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or a high school diploma/GED from an accredited school or institution
Qualifications
- At least 4 years of experience in an HVAC or other Facilities Maintenance position within a manufacturing or shop environment
- At least 5 additional years of experience in electro-hydraulic machinery, major machine run-offs/installations, and maintenance repairs
- Proficiency with control software and PLCs
- Strong knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety policy and procedure
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to bring assignments to a successful completion
- Six Sigma training is preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills
