Facilities Space and Infrastructure Planning Supervisor
About the role
This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento. The Supervisor II serves as a key leader within the Department of Motor Vehicles, overseeing the daily operations of the Facilities Space and Infrastructure Planning Section.
Responsibilities
- Provides strategic direction, operational oversight, and guidance to ensure the delivery of high quality facilities planning, space management, and infrastructure support services across the state.
- Planner and manager of the work of the Space and Infrastructure Planning teams, including coordinating statewide space planning activities, ensuring compliance with state facilities standards, and supporting departmental goals through effective project planning, resource allocation, and operational management.
- Works collaboratively with internal and external partners to advance DMV’s statewide facilities initiatives.
Requirements
- Strategic planning and project management experience.
- Experience with facilities planning, space management, and infrastructure support services.
- Ability to develop and manage long-range facilities and infrastructure planning efforts, including 5-Year Infrastructure Plans.
- Experience leading policy development, project evaluation, and strategic planning activities.
- Experience preparing Capital Outlay and Budget Change Proposals and coordinating with control agencies and external stakeholders.
- Experience overseeing statewide space planning, space standards, and facilities project management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams through organizational change, including guiding staff through new processes, shifting priorities, and evolving operational or strategic directives.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- License: Valid California Driver’s License.
Skills
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of state facilities standards and regulations.

Pay
$7,872.00 - $9,781.00 per Month
Schedule
Part-time telework available. Telework requires California residency. This position offers hybrid telework opportunities; however, telework arrangements are subject to change at any time based on State & departmental operational needs. Employees may be required to report to the office as necessary.
