Facilities Services Associate

About the role

This position plays a key role in supporting daily plant operations by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized production environment. The Facilities Services Associate will assist with facility housekeeping, equipment cleaning, maintenance preparation, material handling, and general operational support across the plant.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of plant areas to identify and address housekeeping issues promptly.
• Operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning supplies safely and effectively.
• Perform cleaning activities on production equipment and work areas as directed by Operations, ensuring equipment and surfaces remain free of debris and contaminants.
• Support maintenance activities by assisting with lockout/tagout procedures, equipment flushing, maintenance preparation, equipment startup activities, and water treatment processes as needed.
• Absorb and dispose of waste materials in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
• Operate forklifts and assist with material movement and scaffold inspections.
• Identify and report maintenance or repair concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Provide general support to plant operations, including material handling and additional production-related tasks as needed.

• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning supplies safely.
• Forklift operation.
• Demonstrate strong organizational competencies and attention to detail.
• Manage priorities under pressure.

Physical Demands

• Must wear and maintain company required Personal Protective Equipment including, but not limited to: FR pants/long-sleeve shirt, safety glasses, hard hat, safety-toe boots, hearing protection, and gloves.
• Physically able to perform the following job essential functions, inclusive of but not limited to: crouching, kneeling, bending, walking long distances, lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying up to 50 pounds, work at heights, continuous work in confined spaces, ascend/ descend/ work from: stairs/ladders/scaffolding.
• Must have the ability to work continuously in an environment inclusive of but not limited to: dust, loud noise(s), walk on uneven or slippery surfaces, outdoors, heat/cold, poorly illuminated areas.
