Facilities Painter / Maintenance Technician
About the Role

As part of our Facilities Engineering team, you’ll help create a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Under the guidance of the Facilities Engineering Supervisor, you will perform inspection, repair, maintenance, and preventive maintenance of building finishes and grounds.
- Apply paints, sealers, varnishes, stains, and other coatings to interior and exterior surfaces.
- Refinish furniture and equipment.
- Plan and record daily work assignments.
- Maintain schedules for preventive maintenance in accordance with all applicable codes and standards.
Requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Trade or vocational coursework in related skills is welcomed. Working knowledge of the painting trade is preferred.
Experience: At least three years of professional painting experience in a facilities, construction, or maintenance setting.
Licensure/Certification:
- If operating Meritus vehicles: Valid driver’s license and a driving record meeting policy requirements. Annual certified driving record required.
- If using a personal vehicle: Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle, with acknowledgment of insurance requirements per policy.
Skills: Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, work independently with minimal supervision, and manage tasks efficiently.
