Facilities Operator C - 2nd shift
U.S. citizenship is required. The ability to obtain and maintain an active, existing U.S. government issued DoD Secret security clearance is required after day 1.
About the role
Performs cleaning of any area as assigned to ensure a clean, sanitized, dust-free, and contamination-free environment. Performs other custodial/janitorial duties within classification as required or assigned.
This position is an onsite role on the 2nd shift (2:30pm – 11pm) in Andover, MA. This role is part of a collective bargaining agreement; wage and workplace conditions, including shift times, are subject to this agreement.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of cleaning operations based on verbal and written instructions from supervision.
- Custodial cleaning duties including:
- Sweeping, dry and wet mopping, stripping floors to remove dirt, old wax, grease, and oil using cleaning solutions and solvents.
- Waxing, treating, buffing, and polishing floors.
- Cleaning and polishing desks and other office furniture.
- Washing walls, glass partitions, windows, blinds, lights, and light reflectors reachable from the ground.
- Cleaning and maintaining sanitary conditions of washrooms and restrooms.
- Appropriately disposing of general waste and recycling.
- Moving recycling/compost containers to the collecting area.
- Sweeping and cleaning outside areas immediately adjacent to outside doors, such as sidewalks and steps.
- Maintain a clean work area and perform general maintenance and daily housekeeping of workplace, tools, and equipment.
- Maintain records, move materials, and follow safety rules in performance of duties.
- Operate machines, tools, and equipment including:
- Central and portable vacuum systems, clean room grade applicators, mops, brooms, buckets, various brushes, roll mops.
- Polishes, soaps, cleaning powders and solutions, waxes, solvents, isopropyl alcohol, rubber and work gloves, lint-free wipers, filter masks.
- Wall washing machines, sweepers, vacuum cleaners, distilled water, buffing machines and attachments, power sweepers.
- Perform other similar duties as required or directed.

- Minimum of 1 year of related experience.

Pay
Starting wage: $19.85 per hour.
Schedule
2nd shift: 2:30pm – 11pm.
