Facilities Mechanical Engineer - (Grand Prairie, TX)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and commission HVAC and Building Management System (BMS) solutions
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations
• Create mechanical design packages
• Program control sequences
• Validate system performance for facility projects
• Deliver comprehensive engineering packages from calculating initial cooling/heating loads to programming sequences of operation and validating final system performance
• Deliver plans, designs, and oversee the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities
• Gather and review data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility
• Coordinate with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings
• Prepare bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition
• Review and estimate design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs
• Inspect or direct the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as Facilities Mechanical Engineer
• 5+ years experience in Mechanical Engineer role merges HVAC design
• 5+ years experience in Building Management System (BMS)
• Experience delivering comprehensive engineering packages from calculating initial cooling/heating loads to programming sequences of operation and validating final system performance
• Bachelor's Degree (in Mechanical Engineering)
